We're building the study companion we wish every learner had
Rookwise started with a simple observation: learners don't struggle because help doesn't exist — they struggle because patient help isn't available at the moment they need it.
Homework happens at 7pm on a Tuesday. Teachers are off duty, parents are making dinner, and a Grade 8 learner is staring at a maths problem they half understand. That gap is where confidence quietly erodes.
Rook, our owl tutor, was designed for exactly that moment. Rook is patient, encouraging and endlessly willing to explain a concept a second, third and fourth way — always guiding rather than simply handing over the answer.
We focus on South African learners in Grades 4–12 following the CAPS curriculum, in English and Afrikaans. Support for additional curricula and languages is planned as Rookwise grows.
